Sunstone Technology Ventures’ portfolio company Neo Technology, creator of Neo4j, the world’s leading graph database, today announced that it closed its strongest year yet, with 2014 activity including a major product release driving a record number of product downloads, widespread adoption of Neo4j by a growing global community of developers, the company’s highest number of new customer acquisitions, and 120 percent annual recurring revenue growth over 2013. Neo is set to continue its growth trajectory as Neo4j expands its footprint in organizations across both U.S. and International regions.

Sunstone Technology Ventures has announced it invested in Tink, a Stockholm based personal finance company founded by Daniel Kjellén and Fredrik Hedberg. The Tink mobile app is focused on giving people totally new insights about their money. Tink continuously collects, sorts and analyses everything about your personal finances and delivers a beautifully simple feed, so you can see exactly where your money is going. Since it’s launch a year ago, over 200,000 people (2% of Sweden’s entire population) have set-up a Tink account, and the company is now preparing for it’s European expansion.

Sunstone led the USD 4 million Series A round into the company, with participation of Swedish financial entrepreneur Sven Hagströmer. Christian Lindegård Jepsen is joining the board of directors of Tink as part of the investment.

Sunstone Technology Ventures has announced it invested in Memorado, a Berlin based brain training company founded by Marius Luther and Marius Jeuck. Memorado develops a suite of mini-games delivered via its website and mobile apps aimed at improving the cognitive abilities of its users. The company reached 1 million users after 6 months, and has users from every country in the world.

Sunstone led the USD 1.3 million Seed round into the company, with participation of angels including the founders of Zalando, StylistPick, Wimdu, Fyber and Hitfox. Max Niederhofer is joining the board of directors of Memorado as part of the investment.

Sunstone Technology Ventures has announced it invested in Shipbeat, a Copenhagen based  “logistics-as-a-Service” company founded by Kenneth Svenningsen and Joachim Rørbøl. Shipbeat provides online retailers with a unified API enabling them to instantly integrate with multiple shipping carriers, and offer customers all the shipping options they desire.

Sunstone co-led the USD 1.6 million Seed round into the company alongside Denmark’s SEED Capital, and former JustEast CEO Klaus Nyengaard. Max Niederhofer is joining the board of directors of Kontakt.io as part of the investment.

Sunstone Technology Ventures’ portfolio company GetYourGuide (a holiday activities booking startup) has announced that it’s closed a $25 million Series B round, led by prior investors Spark Capital and Highland Capital Partners Europe. GetYourGuide said its new funding will be used for accelerating growth into new markets, and to support its mobile development focus.
